Last night I watched this:

While eating these:

With this guy:

My thoughts?

I might be a little biased, but I thought Romney killed it. He spoke clearer, more directly, and with more energy.

My two favorite quotes from the evening were first when Romney said in regards on his plan to "tackle" the deficit problem, "It's frankly not moral for my generation to keep spending massively more than we take in, knowing burdens will be passed on to the next generation and paying interest and principal all their lives." Thank you Mitt, I don't think this point can be stressed enough.

And later in the night when the debate had turned to education, and President Obama accused Romney of wanting to cut education funding, Romney responded, "But you make a very good point, which is that the place you put your money just makes a pretty clear indication of where your heart is." Romney then went on to point out the money Obama put into green jobs, many of which failed, could have been spent on education.

The Nutella Stuffed Brown Butter and Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies?

According to both my husband and me, they are delicious, although they don't quite top our standard chocolate chip cookie recipe. Furthermore, they were a little more time consuming (having to brown the butter and then let the dough chill for two hours before baking and all)- so they won't replace our go- to recipe, but they will make it in the rotation when we are in the mood for something different. I did really enjoy the browned butter and the sea- salt, the Nutella, however, I didn't find very noticeable/ worthwhile and I will probably leave it out when I make these in the future.

And the guy?

As charming as ever.

Overall a pretty good night, although not as much unpacking happened as I had hoped.
