30 for 30, part 1
My coworker and I just finished up our 30 for 30 challenge this week, and like I promised, I'm here to give you some more details. As I said before, the challenge is where you pick 30 pieces of clothes- shoes included- and have to make 30 outfits to wear over 30 days (we chose work days only). The goal (at least for me) was to make me able to "shop my closet" and make more outfits from the clothes I already have. Then you don't always get the urge to go buy more clothes when you see a cute outfit, you work with what you have to recreate it, or a part of it. We got the idea from Kendi's blog, Kendi Everyday. Read up on her challenges and why she does it here. Without further ado, here are the first 15 of my 30 outfits in no particular order (please excuse the cell phone pics, and scraggly hair- I am more than overdue for a cut):
Admittedly, some of them are kind of boring, and some aren't very flattering, but some are outfits I really like and would not have put together without the challenge to encourage me. So overall I think the challenge was a success. I created some new outfits for the rotation and had fun doing it. My coworker on the other hand is a different story- by about day 10 I think she was ready to call it quits- but she stuck it out til the end and made some cute outfits!
My favorite looks from this set are row 1- picture 1, row 3-picture 3, and row 4-picture 3.
What about you, have you ever participated in this challenge or anything similar?
