return

I'm back! Back from where you ask? Our amazing week-long trip to Antigua. But before we flitted off down there we spent a long weekend in Chicago and Hillsdale for a wedding and had a few other minor events pop up I need to share with you. So you might have to wait just a little bit before you get beach picture overload. Or maybe by tomorrow I will be too impatient and just want to look at pictures from my trip over and over with you- it's hard to tell right now.

First things first, the wedding. It was just over two weeks ago now we made the familiar drive from Minneapolis to Hillsdale with a pit stop in Chicago for a quick Cubs game.

This was my first time at Wrigley Field.

We got some monster sandwiches before the game topped with coleslaw and fries, among other, more predictable toppings.

Waiting for the L to take us back to the hotel with our souvenir from the game.

And finally, on to Hillsdale! First things first, dinner at Cavoni's- just as good as I remembered.

Then we took the puppies on a trip down memory lane and walked around campus.

Franklin did NOT enjoy meeting Margaret. It took him a few seconds to realize where he was (on her lap), but once he turned his head he immediately jumped up and started barking at her face.

Franklin enjoyed sprints on the track much more than the statue walk.

Now to the main event of our trip: my sorority sister's wedding. The decorations were so pretty and unique. It was fun to be on campus for the reception and get to party it up in Howard Hall.

Singing Shades to the bride.

Chi-O weddings are the best weddings!

David "needed" some Michigan beers to take home and was kind of obsessed with this bar/ market that let you walk in the beer cave and just grab whatever you wanted to drink and then sit down and enjoy it right on the premises without a server/ bartender acting as the middleman. Somehow I don't think this self-serve idea would work here in the Twin Cities...

And lastly, the obligatory napping-in-the-car pic from the drive home.

One wedding down, four more to go this season!
