throwback thursday

Finally got the laptop up and running again, 8 years old and still going strong limping along. While going through the pictures I ran across these from my senior year of college, which have never seen the light of day. Get excited.

It's a tradition at Hillsdale for seniors to "break into" Central Hall and climb to the top of the bell tower. Below are a few of the pics I took in an attempt to document this.

Attempt #1: going through the tunnels from the Student Union, to the Library, supposedly to Central Hall. Failed.

Finding names of last years seniors written in the dust in the tunnels.

Ended up not having the right key to get into Central Hall, so we settled for breaking into the Library after hours instead. Disregard the fact that I am clearly not dressed for breaking-and-entering, I was sure to rectify that for attempt two.

Attempt #2: We weren't messing around this time. Decided to get a student-security guard that for-sure had the right keys to take us up. Thanks Drew!

Elevator to the 3rd Floor. We were pretty excited.

Snooping through the old boxes in the attic.

Climbing the first ladder of many up into the bell tower.

We left our mark everywhere...

Seeing the Quad from the top of Central Hall

Attempt #2: Success.
