take me out to the ballgame

Since the Twins have been doing horribly nearing the end of the regular MLB season, the crowds at Target Field have been pretty abysmal. This means they don't need the usual 100 seat vendors, thus they have been cutting back and only scheduling the top 40sh vendors in seniority for the last few games. Which does not include me and David. I suppose this is a mixed bag- on the one hand it's nice getting a few days off from work, especially this late in the season when the games are no longer fun or lucrative to be at, on the other hand we were expecting to make a little more money vending in the month of September. All things considered though, we are enjoying the unexpected nights off and taking advantage of every free evening. Last week we even went to our first game at Target Field ever, as fans.

Cheap seats waaaaaay far away in the outfield.

The bad seats didn't bother us too much, we spent most of the game spying on the vendors.
Can you spy any neon shirts?

The vest was a proably a little premature, but man did it feel good to be wearing that many layers.

This was the fourth baseball game I have cheered at this summer which has to be some sort of record.  I'm glad we finally made it as fans to Target Field, but being a guest at a Twins game isn't something I need to do again for a few more years. Somehow having to work 81+ baseball games a year takes a little bit of the fun out of going as a paying spectator.
